IOSHEver-changing legislation increases the need for renewing the IOSH Managing Safely certification every two years.

 

Course Overview

 

The overall aims of the Managing Safely Re-certification course are to remind you of key points learned during the Managing Safely course and introduce some health and safety topics which were not dealt with on the Managing Safely course.

 

 

 

The new topics are as follows:

Human failure - The types of human failure and the difference between human error and a violation.

Reliance on and reliability of risk control measures

Stress

Lone working

Violence at work

Measuring safety culture

   

 

In order to obtain a new Managing Safely Certificate you have to complete successfully the assessment at the end of the course. The aim of the re-certification course is to update delegates on key health and safety issues and best practice without them having to re-sit the full course.

   

 

Audience

 

Delegates who have completed IOSH Managing Safely more than three years ago and who want to remain accredited by IOSH.
