This course has been developed
in association with theNational
Inspection Council for Electrical
Installation Contracting (NICEIC).
The course will satisfy the
NICEIC's particular requirement
that prospective Qualifying
Managers and Operatives are
fully conversant with the requirements
of BS 7671 for inspection, testing
and certification of electrical
installations.
Candidates should have City
& Guilds 2380 or 2381 and
a working knowledge of the requirements
of BS7671:2008, prior to registering
for this course.
During the five day course candidates
will cover the following:
The requirements of BS7671:2008
for inspecting, testing and
certification.
Use of Guidance note 3, Inspection
and Testing
Practical demonstrations and
'hands on' practical experience.
Preparation for testing and
inspection
The visual inspection of electrical
installations
Testing: familiarisation with
all testing methods and instruments.
Certification: familiarisation
of the requirements of test
certificates and their completion.
During the course a practical
assessment will be undertaken
by each candidate of up to 4
hours duration.
A written examination lasting
2.5 hours will be taken at the
end of the course.

Hours are: 9.00 am to 4.30 pm unless otherwise
notified Refreshment breaks will be taken during
the morning and
afternoon sessions.
A buffet lunch will be provided
each day
