A comprehensive 3 day course covering a wide range of first aid emergencies and how to deal with them, enabling participants to qualify to the level of First Aider for the Workplace, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Aims and Principles of First Aid
Assessment of Incidents / Casualties
Managing the Unconsciousness Casualty
Recovery Position (Including Practise)
Resuscitation (Including C P R Practise)
Disorders of Respiration (including Choking & Asthma)
Role of the First Aider
First Aid Boxes and Accident Reporting
Wounds and Bleeding
Dressings and Bandages (including Practise)

DAY TWO
Revision (Recovery Position, CPR and Bleeding
Shock
Fainting, Heart Attack, Angina, Anaphylactic Shock
Internal Bleeding & Crush Injuries
Chest Injuries
Joint and Muscle Injuries
Fractures (including Practise)
Spinal Injuries (including Practise)
Seizures (including Epilepsy)

DAY THREE
Diabetes, Head Injuries and Stroke
Poisoning
Burns and Scalds
Eye Injuries
Course Work Revision (Oral and Practical)
Final Assessment (Oral and Practical)

Course Certification
A three year certificate is awarded on completion of this course, approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
